BBC Election Special Broadcast from The Blade

The ‘Your Voice, Your Vote’ programme was broadcast live on BBC Radio Berkshire, hosted by Vernon Harwood, who gave an incredible introduction to The Blade, noting our spectacular views and unique design. In fact, it was mentioned that most of the candidates could see their houses out of The Blade’s windows given the panoramic and far reaching views across Reading and the Thames Valley!

Reading Central is one of the newly created constituencies for this General Election, and the four candidates– who joined the programme - Matt Rodda (Labour), Raj Singh (Conservative),Dave McElroy (Green) and Henry Wright (Liberal Democrat) – covered a number of important local topics including housing, homelessness and even Reading Football club.

The filming took place on the11^th Floor, with The Blade’s incredible views as a backdrop. We were delighted to host this important debate, ahead of the General Election on Thursday 4^th July, and provide such an impressive and inspiring backdrop for the candidates to speak from.
